NIDA opens up a new prospect of industrial cooperation in Indonesia and establishes strategic cooperation with ASIOTI and MASTEL, an Indonesian information and communication association.
[Jakarta, December 4, 2025] Prof. Sureswaran Ramadass, Deputy Director of the Global Fixed Network Innovation Alliance (NIDA), Li Kun, Director of the Industry Development Dept, Invited to attend the Indonesia IPv6+ Next Generation Network Summit 2025 (IPv6 Enhanced Net5.5G Conference 2025 )) jointly organized by the Indonesian IoT Association ASIOTI, the Ministry of Communications and Digital, and the Ministry of National Development Planning of Indonesia.
In his keynote speech titled "Evolving to 10G Cities with IPv6 Sustainable Development, Integrated Security, and National Digital Transformation", Prof. Sureswaran Ramadass, Vice Chairman of NIDA, introduced new scenarios and technical challenges brought to networks in the AI era. This paper analyzes the data on network digital transformation readiness of various Southeast Asian countries, including Indonesia, and major developed countries in the world. Finally, it presents the data to government leaders such as the Ministry of Communications and Digital and the Ministry of National Development Planning of the Indonesian government, representatives of Indonesian operators, Indonesian universities, associations, equipment manufacturers, and service providers. This paper describes the alliance positioning of NIDA, which aims to define the evolution path and network construction standards of global Internet infrastructure and drive the upgrade of the datacom industry.

During the summit, Prof. Sureswaran Ramadass, Vice Chairman of NIDA, Li Kun, Director of Industry Development, TEGUH PRASETYA, Chairman of the ASIOTI ( Indonesia Internet of Things Association ), and SARWOTO ATMOSUTARNO, Chairman of the Indonesia Information and Communication Association MASTEL ( The Indonesian Telematics Society ) jointly signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU).

Indonesian IoT Association ASIOTI - Founded in 2016 with the support of the Ministry of Communications and Information of Indonesia, its Indonesian IoT Forum consists of user communities, academia, device manufacturers, hardware vendors, software vendors, system integrators, network connectivity providers and regulators. ASIOTI brings together enterprises, experts, and institutions related to the industry chain. By promoting technology exchange, use case promotion, capability building, and cross-domain cooperation, ASIOTI helps build a local IoT ecosystem to support Indonesia's digital economy transformation and national competitiveness improvement. TEGUH PRASETYA, chairman of ASIOTI, said in the three-party MOU signing: "We are very pleased to see that this is a further deepening of cooperation with NIDA after the Shenzhen NIDA Summit in early November. After the signing of this MOU, we will carry out in-depth cooperation with NIDA standards."

The participation in the Indonesia IPv6+ Next Generation Network 2025 Summit, the establishment of relationships with the Indonesian government and industry organizations, and the signing of MOUs with ASIOTI and MASTEL marked a new prospect for NIDA's network technology innovation application and industrial cooperation in Indonesia, the largest economy in Southeast Asia. As an international industry organization, NIDA will continue to contribute to the development of the next generation network industry in Southeast Asia.
