New Internet Enables New Productivity
[Nanjing, August 21, 2025] During the 9th Future Network Development Conference, Jiangsu Future Network Innovation Research Institute held the CENI Innovation Forum 2025, which was co-organized by the Global Fixed Network Innovation Alliance (NIDA). With the theme of "Network Global Winning the Future" as the theme, the conference builds a dialogue and communication platform based on a global perspective, and strengthens technical exchanges and industry cooperation in the field of network communications.
The Future Network Test Facility (CENI) is the first national major scientific and technological infrastructure in China's communications and information field, aiming to build a world-leading network test environment. Jiangsu Future Network Innovation Research Institute and NIDA have long cooperated deeply in new technologies and standards for the next generation Internet. The two sides have jointly launched the "CENI-NIDA Innovation Ecosystem for New Quality Internet" and will continue to work in the future. AI agent communication gateway technologies and other cutting-edge technologies give full play to their advantages in standard and experimental networks to contribute to the development of the new Internet. Present at the ceremony were Liu Yunjie, academician of the Chinese Academy of Engineering, Tan Hang, executive vice president of Jiangsu Future Network Innovation Research Institute, Deng Yiou, secretary general of the Global Fixed Network Innovation Alliance, and Zhu Jian, co-founder of Shenzhen Huaer Data Technology Co., Ltd. Yuan Bo, chief engineer of Zhongguancun Hyper-Connected New Infrastructure Industry Innovation Alliance, Jin Hui, executive director of Innovation Research Institute of Beijing Xinertai Technology Co., Ltd., and Liu Jing, network architect of iFLYTEK. The launch of "CENI-NIDA's Innovation Ecosystem for New Quality Internet" marks the beginning of new quality Internet standards from industry standards to pilot deployment. CENI's unique advantages of first-use, first-test, and jointly contribute to enabling new quality Internet.
During the keynote speech, Deng Yiou, Secretary-General of the Global Fixed Network Innovation Alliance, delivered a keynote speech on "New Quality Internet - Network Infrastructure in the Intelligent Age", which comprehensively elaborated on the "Joint Computing", "Joint Intelligence", and "Joint Data" of the New Quality Internet in the Intelligent Age. Based on the values and key technologies of the four scenarios of "Link Air" and industry hotspots such as East Digital and West Computing, this paper expounds how the new quality Internet technology standards can solve practical problems such as insufficient computing power, data security concerns, and high construction cost and long construction period.
In conclusion, the Secretary-General emphasized that the development of the next generation network industry requires industry cooperation. NIDA, as an international organization, is rooted in the soil of China's network industry and condenses the scientific and technological consensus and standards of China's industry. At the same time, he actively responded to the country's "Belt and Road" policy and proactively explored cooperation with overseas industry organizations and customers. Currently, the NIDA Alliance Pioneer Program has been implemented in multiple countries, including the Middle East, Central Asia, Asia Pacific, and Latin America.
At the conference, Gao Wei, Chairman of the Future Network Evolution Working Group of the NIDA Alliance, released the AI Agent Communication Gateway Technology Research Report, which provides an in-depth analysis of the trends and challenges of the communication industry in the AI era, AI agent scenarios, architecture, and key technologies. Arouse the high attention and reflection of the present guests.
The report is jointly compiled by the China Institute of Information and Communications, Huawei Technologies Co., Ltd., Research Institute of China Mobile Communications Co., Ltd., Research Institute of China Telecom Co., Ltd., and Research Institute of China United Network Communications Co., Ltd., and other core NIDA member organizations. It defines the core technical elements of intelligent agent interconnection. Inject new momentum into the development of AI Agent communication technologies.
The CENI Innovation Forum 2025 is a grand meeting of the network industry and a summary of the achievements of the implementation of cutting-edge technology standards in the CENI scientific apparatus.
