[November 6-8, 2025] CEIC 2025 was successfully held at Shenzhen Convention and Exhibition Center (Futian). During the conference, the 3rd Network Innovation and Development Conference organized by the Global Fixed Network Innovation Alliance (NIDA) as a parallel sub-forum was held on November 8. At this conference, the project "China Unicom Broadband Core Network (BNC) Leading Intelligent Transformation of 10G Broadband Networks" jointly submitted by China Unicom and Huawei was successfully selected as an innovation case in the field of network application and technological innovation. And was formally included in the "New Quality Internet Pioneer City Construction Action Plan" case set. This important achievement indicates that China Unicom has won the industry's authoritative recognition in leading the intelligent transformation of 10G broadband networks and building a new generation of information infrastructure.

The conference brought together academicians, industry leaders, and other world-leading experts to discuss the development path of the new Internet to enable thousands of industries. With the world's first new broadband network architecture and deep integration of networks and artificial intelligence, China Unicom's BNC project stands out from many innovative solutions and sets a new benchmark for broadband network evolution.
As the core architecture of the next-generation broadband network, China Unicom's broadband core network (BNC) successfully breaks through the limitations of traditional broadband networks with the core concepts of "transmission and control separation, intensive deployment, synaesthesia integration, and security and reliability". Its innovative architecture is aligned with the 5GC service-oriented architecture, implementing intensive control plane deployment and user plane pool deployment, providing millisecond-level precise distribution capabilities for services, laying a solid foundation for fixed-mobile convergence and future service innovation. AI is embedded in the management, control, and user forwarding layers to implement intelligent closed-loop from service awareness, poor-QoE locating, and network self-healing, transforming networks from passive pipes to active and intelligent connection entities. The BNC-based ultra-low latency and ultra-large bandwidth capabilities have been developed. A series of innovative products, such as the free mobility private network and computing and network convergence esports cloud, have been successfully incubated to break through AI application bottlenecks and bring ultimate user experience.
At present, China Unicom has successfully completed the BNC commercial demonstration in 19 cities, fully verifying the feasibility and excellent stability of the technology. The selection of this case not only affirms the practical achievements of the project, but also reflects the high expectation of future promotion value. Looking forward to the future, China Unicom will continue to deepen the large-scale deployment and application innovation of BNC, work with industry partners to promote the high-quality development of China's broadband network industry in the direction of intelligent, green, and convergent, and build a solid digital foundation for the vigorous development of new productive forces.
