NIDA attends 2025 China Cloud Network Conference
[Beijing, April 23, 2024] The 2025 CHINA CLOUD NETWORK CONFERENCE, guided by the China Communications Standards Association (CCSA) and hosted by the CCSA TC610 SDN/NFV/AI Standards and Industry Promotion Committee, opened in Beijing on April 23. Centered on advancing cloud-network/computing-network convergence and network intelligence, the conference delved into cutting-edge technologies, application scenarios, industrial development, and commercialization strategies. Key topics included cloud-network convergence, computing power networks, intelligent computing networks, autonomous networks, large-scale network models and their applications, cloud-network security, SD-WAN, and the information technology application innovation industry. Discussions aimed to drive innovation in next-generation network infrastructure and accelerate the integration of digital and intelligent technologies across industries. At the main forum on the opening day, NIDA Secretary-General Deng Yiou delivered a keynote speech titled 'From IPv6+ to the Next-Generation Network,' explaining how the advent of the intelligent era is driving the internet into a new phase and necessitating generational evolution of networks. The Next-Generation Network, which clearly defines next-generation internet scenarios and key technological directions, is leading global efforts to build next-generation internet infrastructure. This vision focuses on four major scenarios—Computing Connection, Intelligence Connection, Data Connection, and Airspace Connection—and four key technological directions: New Ultra-Broadband Connectivity, New IPv6+ Extensions, New Network Intelligence, and New Security Mechanisms."NIDA Secretary-General Deng Yiou also introduced the vision and mission of the NIDA—to become the world’s most influential standards organization for network infrastructure, driving the upgrade of the IP industry—along with the research focus areas of its working groups: the Network Evolution Working Group, Campus Network Working Group, Data Center Network Working Group, and Network Intelligence Working Group.NIDA's participation and initiatives at the 2025 CHINA CLOUD NETWORK CONFERENCE further elaborated its vision for generational evolution in networking. By defining the next-generation network paradigm through the 'Four Connections' and 'Four Innovations' framework of the Next-Generation Network, NIDA has strengthened industry consensus on driving generational evolution in networking.
